Return & Refund Policy
General Terms
All merchandise is invoiced at the pricing applicable at the time of shipment. Prices are subject to change without prior notice due to market conditions, supplier updates, or other external factors. By placing an order with Tavasco Wholesale, you accept and agree to the policies and procedures outlined below.
Returns Policy
Returns Accepted for Manufacturer Defects Only
Returns are accepted exclusively for products with verifiable manufacturer defects. These must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Defective claims reported after this window will not be honored.
Return Authorization Required
All return requests must be pre-approved in writing by Tavasco Wholesale. Unauthorized returns those sent without prior written consent will be refused and returned at the sender’s expense.
Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible for return, items must be in their original factory-sealed cartons. All original packaging, accessories, manuals, and documentation must be included. Products must be unused and in resalable condition. Returns must be initiated and completed within 14 days of the original purchase date.
Restocking Fees
A 20% restocking fee applies to general merchandise. A 30% restocking fee applies to grocery items, perishable goods, or any temperature-sensitive products. These fees will be deducted from the issued store credit. Restocking fees are non-negotiable and help offset handling, inspection, and restocking labor.
Return Shipping Responsibility
All costs associated with return shipping, including freight and insurance, are the sole responsibility of the customer. We do not provide prepaid return labels.
Store Credit Only – No Cash Refunds
All authorized returns will be processed as store credit only, which can be applied toward future purchases. No cash, credit card, or bank refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Final Sale Items – No Return or Exchange
Products purchased under promotional or discounted pricing, clearance sales, or those sold with a short-dated expiration are considered final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange. Custom orders or specially sourced products are also final sale. Please review your order carefully prior to checkout.
E-Commerce Platform Sales
Tavasco Wholesale does not accept returns for any products that have been shipped to or sold through Amazon, Walmart, eBay, or any third-party e-commerce platforms. This is due to the relabeling, repackaging, or rehandling that may occur, which voids the manufacturer’s warranty and compromises product integrity. Buyers are fully responsible for ensuring proper compliance with e-commerce policies and storage requirements.
Exchange Policy
Exchange Timeframe
Exchanges are permitted within 72 hours of delivery, subject to product availability and written pre-approval.
Shipping Responsibility
All costs for returning the original item(s) and shipping the replacement(s) are the customer’s responsibility. Exchanges are subject to the same return condition and restocking fee requirements.
Freight Shortage or Damage
Inspection at Delivery
Upon receiving a shipment, customers must inspect all goods at the time of delivery. Any visible damage, shortage, or package tampering must be noted directly on the freight bill and acknowledged by the freight driver.
Discrepancy Notification Window
Any claims related to shipment damage, shortage, or misdelivery must be reported to Tavasco Wholesale within 48 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted.
Carrier Liability
Once an order has left our warehouse, the risk of loss or damage transfers to the carrier. In cases of lost shipments, damaged goods in transit, or stolen freight, the customer is responsible for filing a claim directly with the carrier. Tavasco Wholesale will support such claims by providing any required documentation (e.g., packing slips, invoices, tracking information) upon request.
Payments
We accept bank transfers, ACH (Automated Clearing House), credit cards, and debit cards. Orders will only be processed and released upon full payment clearance. Partial payments or pending amounts may result in shipment delays or cancellations.
Payment terms are determined based on order value, purchase frequency, customer creditworthiness, and existing account standing. Custom terms may be extended to established customers upon approval by our finance department.
Order Acknowledgment and Agreement
By placing an order with Tavasco Wholesale, you confirm and acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Return & Refund Policy as detailed above. You are responsible for all return, exchange, and freight-related costs, where applicable. You understand that final sale items and e-commerce platform returns are not accepted. You agree that all approved returns will be issued as store credit only, and no cash refunds will be provided.
